SPLIT: is a television drama series.
____________________________________________________________________________
This series will feature many characters who have split personalities of some kind. The main character that the series focuses on is Chloe, a young woman at university. She does not have a split personality but is the link between the characters within the series that do.
In episode one, SPLIT: OBSESSION, Michael, Chloe’s best friend, is in love with her and is making her life hell. He is so obsessed with her and her actions that when they are not together, he watches her on cameras he has placed around her flat. He also plays mind games with her, writing messages on her lawn by burning the grass and sending her items from her own flat. When Chloe is freaking out it is Michael who comforts her.
Episode two, SPLIT: LOYALTIES, tells the story of Chloe’s next door neighbour, Rose. Rose is married with two children, but her life is anything but perfect. She had dreams when she was younger but fell pregnant and was forced to become a mother and a wife. She is discontent and her husband doesn’t help when he comes home and demands that she have sex with him. If Rose refuses, her husband beats her and she is trapped in her house because she won’t let people see the bruises on her face. Chloe visits Rose and asks what happened but Chloe lies and puts on a brave face when inside she is terrified of her husband and wants to leave him.
Episode three, SPLIT: VANITY, focuses on Amber, Jade and Jasper, a group of students who go to university with Chloe, who are referred to as “The Beautiful People”. They are admired for being beautiful, the problem is that they know it and are very arrogant, constantly showing off how gorgeous they are. Behind closed doors however, Amber has an eating disorder and Jasper is actually really insecure in himself and is miserable because he can’t get a boyfriend, which is the one thing he really wants.
Episode four, SPLIT: DENIAL, catches up with the characters that have appeared so far in the series. It will progress each of the stories in turn, showing how Amber, Jasper and Rose refuse to admit that there’s anything wrong with their lives. Michael tries to convince Chloe that an ex-boyfriend is to blame for everything that is happening.
Episode five, SPLIT: SENILITY, tells the story of Mary, an elderly woman who lives alone next door to Chloe. Mary pretends that everything is fine with her, but she is slowly losing her mind. One night, she falls over and injures herself but her pride and mental issues prevent her from getting help, which almost leads to her death.
Episode six, SPLIT: RESOLUTION, wraps up the series bringing all of the storylines that have built throughout the series to somewhat of a close, whilst also leaving it open for the possibility of a second series.
